What the 3D Chamber actually does
Older atomizers heated from a coil at the bottom of the bowl, which meant puddling, uneven cooking, and wasted concentrate stuck to the walls. Puffco's 3D design prints the heating traces directly onto the chamber walls, so heat surrounds your material instead of scorching it from below. The result: faster heat-up (roughly 20–25 seconds), more even vaporization, noticeably better flavor, and real-time temperature control that keeps your dab from overshooting mid-hit.
The standard 3D Chamber ($75) is the baseline for a reason. For solo sessions and flavor-first, low-temp dabs, it's efficient, easy on concentrate, and simple to keep clean. If your Peak Pro still has the original bottom-heat chamber, moving to a 3D is the single biggest upgrade you can make to the device.
Meet the 3DXL: same tech, way more room
The 3DXL Chamber ($100) takes the same wall-heating design and stretches it — the bucket is about 78% deeper than the standard 3D. In practice that means:
- Bigger loads, bigger clouds. Puffco rates it at roughly twice the vapor volume. It was built for people who found the 3D's ceiling too low.
- Pull as hard as you want. The taller walls keep concentrate from splashing over into the airpath, so you can rip it instead of sipping it.
- Less deep-cleaning. Less splashover into the reclaim path means the base glass and airpath stay cleaner between maintenance days. You should still swab the bucket after every session — no chamber saves you from that.
- An extra gear. On current Peak Pros, the 3DXL unlocks an XL vapor setting in the Puffco Connect app for max-output sessions.
One thing to know: the 3DXL is deeper, so it pairs with the taller XL Joystick Cap rather than a standard-height joystick cap. If you're buying the chamber from us, ask the crew to make sure you walk out with a cap that matches — it's a ten-second check that saves a headache.
